ShannonCSomeone once said that if you were to imagine eternity, it could be likened to every moment and emotion you have ever had all happening at once forever… When DJ Shannon approaches music he does so with the view of eternity. So, imagine an eclectic blend of rich soulful house, augmented by classic jazz undertones, accentuated by irresistible percussive grooves woven together to provide an inertia for the soul. If you can fathom this, then you have an idea of what happens when DJ Shannon C hits the decks. Born and raised in Chicago, at a young age he began showing an unusual affection for music, particularly his father’s record collection, “and it still hasn’t stopped,” he adds. Taking full advantage of the house heavyweights that resided in Chicago in the late 80s, Shannon remembers the intensity and forward thinking attitude that jocks like Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, & Lil Louis embodied while playing music, and this has undoubtedly left a lasting influence on how he approaches music.

DJ Jitsu
Written by SMOOV

DJ JitsuIn 1996 DJ Jitsu became immersed in EDM (electronic dance music) while being involved with a Honolulu nightclub called 1739. With each passing night at the club his fondness for house music grew strong until he naturally transitioned behind the turntables in 1997.

Jitsu was fortunate that a well established and respected underground San Francisco/Hawaii dj showed him the basics of beat matching, phrasing, mixing, etc. and sent him down the path of honing his dj skills. Multiple past residencies to include 1739 - lounge side (hawaii), The Backroom (tulsa), Afterhours @ Curlys (tulsa), Club Dym (tulsa), The Deep End (tulsa), Tsunamis (tulsa) along with monthly guest spots at The Down Lounge (tulsa), guest spots on Z104.5's Essential Mix with DJ Demko, Smartbar (chicago), as well as numerous one-off event appearances throughout the midwest states have helped Jitsu to sharpen his skills and continuously grow and learn as a DJ.

Mixer Magazine's September 2000 edition featured Jitsu's mix tape as well as his picture and bio information in their "The Next School" mix tape contest.

Damon Chance

Damon ChanceDamon may have fewer years behind the decks than most djs these days, but his 10+ years of getting intimate with the dance floor all over Southern California and the Mid-South have given him an uncanny ability for picking just the right track to make people move. Ever since his first introduction to house music at the Romper Room in San Diego in 1995 Damon has been in love with it. Coming up in the scene in San Diego he developed a love for the smooth west coast sound. Expect to hear quirky, bouncy, and deep when he plays but it all has a warm energy that makes people smile while they dance.
